Mario Marconi is the co-founder of Africa Wealth Partners, a multi-family office focusing on Africa.
He comes out of the financial services industry with a background in wealth management, investment banking, and sustainable philanthropy. For more than 25 years, he held senior executive positions at UBS where he grew and led multiple areas of the private bank including its wealth planning business, its global philanthropy services and services for UHNW families and family offices. As the Global Head of the UHNW Family Services Group, Mr. Marconi built UBS’ holistic wealth management area and established a number of services to help families manage all aspects of their wealth including succession planning, family office management and family governance. He initiated and led the Values Based Investing strategy of UBS, aiming at making sustainable and impact investing core components of the clients offering.
Mario speaks on the topics of family business, sustainability and philanthropy, and advises a number of ventures in the philanthropic and impact investing space. He has written a number of articles on family business, philanthropy and impact investing.
Mario holds an M.B.A. from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Geneva. He is fluent in English, Italian, French, and German.
